ASPT2018 hosted by the Japanese Society of Printing Science and Technology (JSPST)

Welcome to ASPT2018

We are pleased to announce that THE 9th ASIAN SYMPOSIUM ON PRINTING TECHNOLOGY (ASPT2018) will be held in Tokyo, on July 26, 2018. The theme of this year is "Development of Current Printing Technology into Next-Generation Technology". The symposium is expected to provide researchers and technologists, and engineers involved in printing industry with an opportunity to exchange ideas and information for the strongest linkage ever grown among Asian countries.
In Japan, after a long economic depression for almost 10 years, the sales amount of printing machinery industry started to turn upward this year. Along with this favorable turn, the whole printing industry is expected to recover a boom and hire young employees. However, it is not easy to ensure a stable workforce in an era of low birthrates, it is competitive to bring in young employees among new industries on the cutting edge of technology, and engineers training centers are not fully developed or secured to match the latest printing technology. In view of this situation we should challenge other industries but co-create markets and demand with them at the same time.
In ASPT2018, we would like to discuss all the possibilities in next-generation science and technology for printing industry operated by next-generation. We look forward to having participants from all over Asia in such a future perspective symposium in IGAS 2018, one of the world's four major printing machinery and applications shows.

Toshiharu Enomae, President of JSPST
ASPT2018 Chair
